Team Member - Lucas Lima, 26, Magé, Brazil.

I graduated in International Relations from the Estacio de Sá University in Rio de Janeiro and I am currently studing Economics at Federal Fluminense University in Niterói. I Work in a Government Company that provides services to the Brazilian Navy in the area of Naval Projects. My current role is to assist in project management, such as modernization and revitalization of Marine Equipaments and Ships or the Construction and Development of it.
I’d like to see Projects Management Offices (PMO) specially in areas of infrastructure and energy.
I live in a town called Magé, in the Metropolitan area of Rio de Janeiro. It’s a town with more than 200,000 inhabitants which was one of the most important cities of Brazil in the XIX century. It had the first railroad of the country and a large textile industry. Nowadays, most of the people have to leave the town to work. I'm single and I like to play sports, to do activities with the nature, to listen to music, go to concerts and I love literature. I’m a Basketball fan and so I’d be very happy if I could see a NBA Game. I also play Soccer and I enjoy biking, camping, going to the beach and going to farms.
My involvement with the Rotary when I was 12 years old when my father became a Rotarian. Since then, I participated in several conferences and meetings, participated in RYLA and Rotaract, and taking on various positions in the club and on a district level. I’m currently the District Rotaract Representative of District 4750 (DRR 2009/2010). My father left the Rotary in 2005 for lack of time, but our livesare still very connected to the Rotary movement.
I am very eager to learn more about American culture and especially the Rotary, Rotaract and Interact clubs in District 7680, and maybe do great and lasting partnerships to develop projects together.
